Tea of The Day: Ceylon Sonata by Adagios Teas
Description: Ceylon Sonata is a classic black tea from Sri Lanka. In colonial times, this island nation was known as Ceylon. This name is still used to describe all teas grown here. Ceylon tea is bright and lively, medium-bodied and delightfully tangy. Our Ceylon Sonata hails from the renowned Kenilworth Estate, located in Sri Lanka’s Kandy region. Fresh, citrusy aroma, sweet juicy notes like mandarin peel or grapefruit, refreshing texture and balanced astringency.
Dry tea smells sweet and rich
Steeped tea smells very similar, but a bit citrusy.
Liquor is a rich red-brown in the cup
Tea is rich and tangy. Sugar brings up the astringency and the citrus flavor, but does not take away from the body of the tea
Tea Rating: 3.5/5
Today’s topic: one of my favorite things about healthy, long term relationships: the companionable silence.
The best way to describe what I mean by that is to give an example. One of my favorite examples is one I see my parents do a lot: they’ll both be on the couch, cuddled up together, reading separate novels. The atmosphere at this point is warm and comfortable, and there’s no awkwardness like the kind that happens when you feel like you have to fill the silence.
