Tea of the Day: Salted Caramel Oolong by Golden Moon Tea
Description: Premium quality green oolong leaves, with sweet essences of rich caramel and burnt sugar. Complex balance of subtle lingering floral notes and a deep sweetness
Dry, smells like caramel and sugar with a little bit of a bite to it.
Liquor is a clear caramel-colored gold in the cup
Smells of caramel with a very slight grassy note
After adding a bit of sugar, it is lightly sweet and smooth going down. Tastes a little like the little caramel candies you can get at the grocery store.
Tea Rating: 4/5
Only 8% of the people who set new year’s resolutions follow through with them
I do not bring this up to discourage anyone.
On the contrary, that statistic got me thinking, and I have a theory as to why that is
Most of the time, when I hear someone talk about new year’s resolutions, there some kind of huge change or drastic measure involved.
For example: I am going to go to the gym an hour a day every day of the year.
Or: quit smoking cold turkey
Or: cut out all sugar starting tomorrow
You get the idea
I have found that the changes that stick, that end up meaning the most and mattering later on are gradual.
Like: I am going to go to the gym 3 of my 5 workdays, and work up from a ten minute cardio workout to a full 30 minutes at the gym. Then I am going to go the gym every day that I work and continue building from there.
Granted, something like that take a bit more forethought and planning…but is not nearly so daunting.
So, I encourage all of you to make good choices this year, but remember that the best choice of all is to be kind to yourself.
Happy New Year!
