Tea of the Day: Spice Melange by Sipping Streams
Description: A lovely blend of exotic and familiar spices, orange, and black tea.
Smells orangey, with a nice spicy pep. Tea keeps it’s orangey smell once steeped, as well
Liquor is orange-brown in the cup.
Sweet and flavorful. Fills the mouth and warms all the way down to the toes
Tea Rating: 4/5
This past Thursday and Friday I spent taking a paid-for-by-my-job class on the five key qualities of exemplary leadership.
I learned a few things.
One: apparently, it is remarkable that someone my age is taking an interest in improving their leadership skills, particularly without being in a leadership role. It seems that most people don’t start to realize they need to work on their skills until they’re ten plus years older than I am now. I was definitely the youngest person in the class.
Two: The qualities that make someone a good leader also simply make them a good person.
The top rated quality that people look for or say they prefer in their leadership is honesty—particularly doing what you say you will do.
Isn’t that one of the main things we as people tend to look for when forming personal relationships as well?
I find it interesting that generally being a good person is just so darned helpful.
And a little bit encouraging, as well.
“For tea, though ridiculed by those who are naturally coarse in their nervous sensibilities, or are become so from wine-drinking and are not susceptible to influence from so refined a stimulant, will always be the favored beverage of the intellectual”–Thomas De Quincy, Confessions of an English Opium-Eater
