Tea of the day: Very berry White by Teavana
Description: This luscious multi-berry blend of grapes, elderberries, black currants and blueberries is elegantly infused with high-grade mao feng white tea. It is then enhanced by tart hibiscus, making a bold berry treat.
Dry, smells like strawberry and grape and currant; very sweet, a little tart.
Smells much the same once steeped. Liquor is a dark magenta in the cup.
Tastes very sweet with a tart aftertaste. Makes me think of lightly sweetened berry tarts and raspberry lemonade.
Tea Rating: 3.5/5
There is more to this world than meets the eye.
I’ve really been thinking lately about all the things that we interact with every day that we aren’t even aware of.
Every one of us has our rituals, our superstitions, little things that get us through our day.
Some things are practical, like looking left, then right, then left again when crossing the road (or right, left, right if you drive on the left side of the road).
Other things, like tossing a bit of spilled salt over your shoulder before you clean the mess, are just tics that you can’t quite shake.
Still other things are simply things that comfort us, make us feel stable, like the certain way you wash when you shower or apply lotion afterwords.
We all do these things, but to me the question really is just “why?”
