Lapsang Souchong

Today’s Tea: Lapasang Souchong by Stash Tea

Description: This tea from Fujian province in China has an assertive, dark, smokey fragrance and flavor

Smells like the ashes of a campfire, in the best possible way. Smokey and spicy. Makes me think also of a hearty breakfast

Same smell when steeped. Orange-red in the cup, which is not as dark as I would expect from the intensity of the smell

The flavor is much like the smell, smokey and very full-bodied. It has a sweet aftertaste, and the spicy bite lingers just a bit in the throat

Rating: 3.75/5

Touch Like Fire

We’re drawn to each other

our eyes meet anytime we’re near,

lips curl into mirrored smiles.

Conversations last for hours,

and when we touch,

it’s like fire,

burning bright tracks across our memories
